As they continue to grow, our client is seeking a highly skilled Director of Business Development to lead their sales efforts and drive strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue growth and expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the life sciences sector, including senior executives in biomarker operations, data science, and translational science teams.
- Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring the sales process runs smoothly.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, customer success, and product teams to align strategies and meet market demands.
- Attend industry events to network and increase company visibility.
- Leverage sales analytics and market intelligence to refine sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field (preferably in life sciences, SaaS, or technology).
- Strong understanding of SaaS products, with experience in data management technology preferred.
- Proven track record of building relationships with senior executives and successfully navigating complex sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Experience in managing and motivating high-performing teams.
- Willingness to travel as required (approximately 30%).
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with life sciences, clinical R&D, or biomarker data management is highly desirable.
